SHIMANO DEORE LX

SHIMANO DEORE LX

Trekking Components Series Combining Elegant Design and Robust Build

Following DEORE XT, which was a components series dedicated to mountain bikes (MTBs), SHIMANO DEORE LX appeared in 1990 as a model with further improved operability and safety that was easy for even entry-level users to handle. L in LX was derived from “Luxury.” The uncompromising design such as the surface finish that closely resembled lacquering and the curved molding projected elegance as the name suggested. SHIMANO DEORE LX had a robust build suitable for riding harsh trails as well as the state-of-the-art STI system and ideal trekking specifications. With a 4-finger brake lever and a super long cage rear derailleur, it adopted a shield mechanism with improved dust and water resistance for easy maintenance. After introducing SLX (Sport LX), which was dedicated to MTBs, in 2008, Shimano made DEORE LX more suitable for trekking bikes and launched the T660 series. It has supported users who want to enjoy riding sports bikes exhilaratingly both in the city and the countryside.
