Elvis Presley’s Comeback: The King Returns To Several Billboard Charts

Following

Elvis Presley’s music is timeless, but certain songs in his discography experience a noticeable surge during the holidays. The rocker was known for recording some of the most beloved Christmas hits of all time, and as the big day approaches, some of his biggest yuletide wins are back once again.

The late rocker returns to a trio of Billboard charts this week as millions of Americans begin streaming some of his top holiday smashes once again. The singer appears on quite a few lists this frame, but three of them feature the star after he wasn’t present last time around.

The musical favorite is back on the Hot 100, the main songs chart in the U.S. that tracks the most-consumed cuts in the country. “Blue Christmas” re-enters the competitive tally at No. 32, returning to the top 40 region once again.

Presley claims one of the most-streamed songs in America this week, as he finds his way back to the Streaming Songs chart. The weekly tally ranks the most popular cuts on sites like Spotify, Apple Music, and others. “Blue Christmas” reappears at No. 21, and it may just be getting started. The tune previously topped out at No. 19, so it could very well hit a new high this year.

Perhaps most impressive is Presley’s presence on the Rock Streaming Songs chart. It is composed similarly to the Streaming Songs ranking, but this tally only looks at those tunes labeled rock by Billboard. The King claims a pair of spots on the 25-rung roster this time around. “Blue Christmas” is up to No. 2, and it’s making a play for the No. 1 spot. Down toward the bottom of the list is “Here Comes Santa Claus.” That track reappears at No. 24.

Unsurprisingly, “Blue Christmas” also performs well on two of Billboard’s lists that focus only on seasonal smashes, but he doesn’t return to those rankings. Presley is a non-mover at No. 20 on the Holiday 100 with his colorful hit. The same tune is up slightly to No. 18 on the Holiday Streaming Songs chart.
